Sacrifice Has Thousands Of Names

As I reflect on our speaker today I am reminded of the fabulous Counrty we are privileged to live in and “rub elbows” daily with our wonderful keepers of the peace of our great Nation and thank them for their sacrifices and their service.  Our service men and women are a huge part of the fabric of our Escondido Community, both retired and active duty and I often marvel at their commitment even after retirement.

Our own Mac is a perfect example of that commitment as he takes on the mantel of leadership for our club.  Not only Mac but our other members who have served in most branches of the service – I love when we honor our veterans and see Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines (sorry Coast Guard) proudly standing to represent their branch.  It is also exciting to see that both men and women members of our club have sacrificed to keep us safe.

I realize it is not November and Veteran’s Day and a little early for Memorial Day; however, in honor of Armed Forces Day on May 20th,  I wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to all in our club who have served both then and now – we are all grateful!
